REALITY. Is it real?

In many decisions that we make.
One constant term comes into play,
measuring the possibility of it's success.
Reality.

We always ask ourselves if this decision is real or sensible or not.
But how do we measure what's real?
What is reality to you?

Is it really a realm of practicality that exists.
Or is it a term people use to label or categorize momentary logic.

People in the past use to think the earth is a cube. Travel any further into the ocean
and you'd be falling of a cliff!

J.J. Thomson's theory of what an atom really looks like is just
a cloud of positive and negative energy.

Art use to be termed as a painting of a scenery. According to medieval artists.

Dancing use to be used for war preparation rituals only, in tribes.

The above theories were thought to be "true" and definite...
REAL if you may.
We all know now that these theories were, in time,
developed and proofed false.

But didn't the people think that that was the truth?
That that was real?

In the past people thought that women should stay in doors.
To allow a woman to work outside, is a disgrace!
People even said that it is not possible for a woman to make it out there!

At least half the the list of most influential people were ladies!

But wasn't that the reality? How did these people do it then?

See, people live their lives bound by what
they accept as true and correct.
And they term it reality.

But what is "true", or "correct"?
It is merely vague concepts which are temporary.

How do people come up with a new invention?
They take the theories and ideas to the limit.
Testing the boundaries of reality.
Challenging the ideas of truth.
That's how new things are invented.

Next time when brain storming alone or in a group.
Don't just write off something that sounds ridiculous, or nonsensical.
You never know that idea is what's needed to break the boundaries.

3 Days of Fever...

After a 5 days long weekend, tml's back to school again...

Can't say i'm sad, staying at home is pretty sad and boring...

especially so when my guitar is not with me.

Been having high fever for 3 days last week before the weekends. Miserable times.

Jacq also fever haha, she passed it to me i think...

Eh i'm always writing bout her... tsk.

Oh yea, Was suppose to meet Gwen at bugis on wednesday

to go change my clothes at pull and bear.

She had the cheek and guts to stand me up!

No one has ever stood me up before, not even my previous girlfriends!

Good thing i had fever then so cannot scold her over the phone till she die!

Anyways, i took one night to get it off and treated it as mission-field training.

I still think it's an atrocious habit though... not acceptable at all.

Okay, i wanna rant about the words we say.

This rant is not aiming at anyone or any conversation so relax =)

I'm a firm believer of what the Bible says.

Bible says in Matt 12:34

"Brood of vipers! ...out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks...."

This was spoken by Jesus Himself.

Sometimes we say things we "didn't mean to" say

and we think that it was not on purpose.

The question is was it?

The only reason why we say those things "by accident"

is because those words have existed in my hearts and minds for a long time.

If you didn't mean it, how did you come up with it in the first place?

For example, you blurted a comment about your friend being fat.

"Oops! Sorry didn't mean it la, haha!"

NO! Of course you mean it!

you just didn't mean to say it out.

Would you still call your friend fat if he/she is in fact slim?

No what!!

Your mind has already registered this statement as truth even before you said it out!

So the next time you say something "by accident"

Don't just say "i didn't mean it"

GO back and think why is it you would say something like that in the first place!

and also...

There is power in the confessing of your tongue

Even if you don't mean for it to be true, sooner or later it will.

If you really think you are not money-minded then stop talking about money all the time...

If not sooner or later you will become money minded and won't even realize it!

If something you constantly say for fun but don't mean it, then shut up and say something else that's more constructive...

I think we all need to think about this, including me... humans talk too much sometimes.

First present was given by my parents...

A brand new 15" macbook pro!

They rock big time! Love them!

It was an action packed weekend!!!

Very blessed and loved by the people around me!

So many greetings! I think there were at least 3 times as many as compared to last year.

Didn't know my network expanded so much haha!

Thanks to all whom have greeted me and wished me best wishes!

Now, let me take you down on what happened this past weekend.

Friday night, had count down with the "ah" gang at Jen's Bar.

Had an awesome surprise by Gwen and gang!

Eventhough i wasn't convinced by Gwen's acting but was still extremely touched!

People like, jonathan, andrew and calvin came down eventhough they didn't really know me well.

Very touched and honored to have them celebrate with me =)

Thx guys!

Got sabo'd by smashing my face into the cake... and table...

suffered massive blood lost and a permanant concussion... T.T

Dad passed me a 2nd hand cellphone, Nokia N73!

Lol, was shocked.

The phone's a little buggy though, in discussion with them to get an Iphone 3Gs.

My dad insisted to my mom to get me a phone cause my current phone really gives me many problems. He really nice, even though he scolds me all the time. That's how he shows love =)

After fellowshipping with my cellgroup, i went down to tampines interchange

and went to macdonalds to meet my

campus ministry friends to celebrate.

Very nice of them to get me vouchers for Popular!

Which was what i needed cause i needed to get a very nice ear piece from there =)

Where Laurel treated me to SAY CHEESE at Tampines One!

He couldn't celebrate with me on actual day because he had confinement.

So i always appreciate people who serve me and aid me in my needs!

We had around 20 over people attending. It was fun!

FOod was a lil ex but still nice left me feeling extremely bloated!

Had a good day ytd!
Met up with Vince and HK for lunch ytd... no laurel though=(
Had an alright meal at 201.
Then went to HK's place to slack for a while playing random guitar solos.
Chat for abit.

Tonight we going 85 to have a big dinner! Woohoo~!
Can't wait!

After wards i went to city hall supposedly to meet jacq to teach her math.
BUT!!!
She was LATE!!
*no surprise*

We just ended up eating lunch before she went for her photography class.
We talked about her wanting to be an air-stewardess but too short!

Haha imagine she were to serve a very tall european.
It would go something like this...

Man: *looking for seat on the plane*
Man: *Jostling between the seats*

Jacq: Sir may i serve you? =)

Man: "Looks over his shoulders and sees no one."
Man: "What the? Must be hearing things..."

Jacq: "Sir do you need to look for your seat?"

Man: "Is this plane haunted by a stewardess or something?"

Jacq: *Taps man's shoulders*
"Down here..."

Man: "Holy Cow! What the?! Didn't see you there!"

Jacq: *Looking annoyed but still smiled*

Man: "But seriously how did you get down there? =s"

Anyways, finish meeting up with her and i went on to my BV practice in church.
It was fun!
We had to do vocal trainings and chat for a bit.
Many awesome singers there =)
Very glad and fortunate to be in this group.
Very excited about up-coming performance.

Next few practices will be on Tuesdays and Fridays though,
so i'm gonna miss quite a few cellgroup meetings =(
Means someone else has to play the guitar. ^^

Rehearsals, rehearsals and more rehearsals

So Holidays just ran pass me...
I only had the chance to spend half of the 2 weeks holidays.
Since First week was at Replug Camp

Now that the break is over, my IG(replug)
Has to focus on the up coming concert.

It's coming up real soon...
And goes all the late nights AGAIN...
Gonna be in school till quite late for the next few weeks...
But it's all good... i like performing with my IG
Looking forward to a good first preview on Monday!!

I just went for the Musos Teen Band Back-up Vocals 2nd Auditions Yesterday.
Had to skip school because of it...
I was called out a few times to sing.
I was within the first 4 to be called out.

When we finished i was asked to stay.
So i stayed and sang with the other 4.
The last group didn't have 4 ppl.

I was called AGAIN along with another guy to sing
with the 2 ppl from the last group.

Not sure if i should be happy or not...
maybe i was quite bad and they needed to hear me again...
hmmm.....
Oh well.

Hope i do good with it, results will be out within 2 days time.

TML, i'll be heading down to Mediacorp for 2nd round auditions for Singapore Idol.
I have to skip school again...

I have blogged about me not getting through before...
Apparently they called me up very randomly and said
they have reviewed the tapes and wanted me to go back for the 2nd round...

I just thought it would be cool to go...
We'll see how it goes. =)

Flying Birds

So this is what's going on...
I was as at Jurong East last week
sending my laptop for fixing at the Acer Building.

Jacq, being the sweet and adorable her accompanies me along.
When we were walking towards the building we saw a bird by the tree.

Jacq decides to say hi to it...
Before that i was passing a comment that she scares me...
She wanted to prove me wrong by saying hi to the bird...

Jacq: I show you!

Me: Right...

Jacq: Hi! (Waves arm vigorously swinging her flabs at the bird)

Bird: (FLIES AWAY!)

Max: OMG that's the smartest bird ever!!!
(Shouting with ever bit of emotion inside him)

Jacq: (Shouts random words looking very shocked)

By this time the bird has flown to the other tree a lil further down the road.
It joined another bird near by another tree.

Jacq: I dun believe this... (Stomps towards the other tree where the bird was)

Max: Haha, this's gonna be good (Follows jacq)

Jacq: Hi! (Facing the bird)

Bird: (Stares back)

Jacq: See! I told...
Bird: (Flies back to the first tree...)

Max: OMG!!! That is SO smart!!!!
(Laughing till this lungs felt like flipping inside out)

Jacq: Waaa!!! I can't believe this!!!
(Shouting and flailing her arms and flabs again)

Max: (Dodges one of jacqs swinging flabs)

Jacq: Omg, that bird is so irritating!!!

Max: Aww, not the bird's fault for being smart la...

This short story shows one thing...

Nope, not that Jacq is scary to people
Nope, not that Jacq is scary to birds
Nope, not that bird is smart
Nope, not even because Jacq flabs on her arms.

BUT

Max can dodge Jacq's flabs dispite it's OVERGROWN size!!!

Yes i amaze myself sometimes... my swiftness and agility is God-like...

But i still love her...
So nice to accompany me to Jurong East

OK FINALLY GOT UPDATE!!!

Aiight here's the laydown being laid down...
Today went for prayer meeting at HOG fantastic time...
realize i pray better alone, standing, at the back...
hmm...

Pastor shared about seeing in the spirit...
It was an awesome word to begin my day.
A lot of times we need to visualize our prayer...
not depend on what we see in the flesh...

Indeed sometimes we get defeated just being seeing in the flesh...
this causes us to be defeated in the spirit...

I think my revelation for today would be that,
as we begin to see more in the spirit, the more confident we get.

This positivity translated into confidence in the flesh...
and when we have confidence in the flesh...
we get more results...
then we stay even stronger in the spirit...
It's like a cycle...

Great PM today^^

After pm went for breakfast with the couple and watch them
flirt with each other...
haiz... where's mine??? T.T

After that met with Jacq to go AMK to find Mel
Mel then went off to meet his project team for a bit
while i ?TEACH? jacq math...
Gd thing what i needed to teach her was something quite easy...

On the bus to AMK
Jacq was giving me a hard attack because she toooo cute liao...
So i said i was having heart failure....

THEN

She asked me...

Why would i need a kidney when i'm having heart failure?!?!?
I laughed like i had never laughed before on a bus!!!

Think the whole was rather irritated by this 2 young man and lady...

OMG!!!
Just finished RP's Freshmen Orientation Program
It was OFF THE HOOK!!!
So much happened.
I can't even begin telling you how much we've done and gone through in this 3 days.

Anyways, it was physically very straining for me...
on top of waking up at 5.30am every morning to prepare and head for sch.
I had to stay back in sch for rehearsals for the finale night concert till 9.30pm each night.

BUT
it was all worth it... =)

I had so much fun meeting the freshies and
working with the wonderful student leaders =)

I was the game master for the 2 days.
And on the 3rd day i facilitated a class of 25 with another partner.
To oriented the freshies thru how a proper class would be like.
It's fun to teach haha.

ON
THE
3RD
NIGHT...

THE PARTY WAS ON...

FOP CONCERT ON THE LAWN!!!
An open air concert for the freshmen...
I was standing at the backstage waiting for my cue
and i felt the ground shake literally
It was due to the pure intense hype created by the bands and groups
AND none other than the AUDIENCE itself.

I wish i can show u the pictures but i can't, dun have it yet... haha
but i have some other photos to show tho...
Overall it was a wonderful 3 days
and a tremendous learning experience for me =)

Was suippose to go swimming 1 hour ago, but ppl are either sick or busy.

Anyways, this friday's the grand finale for RP's freshman camp.
It's awesome man!

This time i'm not singing... it gets boring after awhile.
I'm playing the drums!! WOOT!!

Anyways, i screwed the drums during preview, cause i couldn't hear my band mates
and there were no monitor speakers to hear ourselves.

Ended up playing off beat and super ultra crappy.

But later we borrowed one of the performance studio
to prac and was much better because they tilted all the monitors to face me.

HAHA...

The sound man said i didn't do sound check with him and stuff...
But i was sitting in front of the drums waiting for my turn...
He kept asking me not to play first...
=s
isn't it contradicting...

But nvm that.
Had fun tho during practice
NOT preview...

Was in sch ytd up till 7
and i was damn beat when i reached home at 8.30.

So today's my rest day, from tml till friday i'll be in sch from
8am to 5pm
8.30am to 5pm
8.30am to 9pm

Phew.... and saturday will have svc...
and sunday double count then jamming session with laurel and guys haha

I amaze myself sometimes....

i'm going to watch CATS later in the afternoon.

Yes, it's the production that came to Singapore
and it's costs a bomb.

BUT, i get to watch it for free!!!
Today is their full dress rehearsal.

The people from CATS invited us to go and watch them.
They actually know our school's
Arts Marketing Director.
So we've been kindly given the opportunity to go watch this awesome production
at the esplanade!!

HOW COOL IS THAT!!!

Another update

Alright to my invisible readers and good frens who patronize my blog out of boredom
Here's another update.

Just had practice with laurel's band yesterday at *Scape studio.
The place was pretty whacked. Didn't like the broken drums.
The place was alright but for a the name so hyped up in Singapore.
Equipments on the most, didn't live up to my expectations.

We had fun, i screwed up a bit on the drums.
Good thing no one attempted to strangle me.
Anyways, great band, great energy, not forgeting great talents.

Makes me miss my own band even more... haix
soon.

Aiight, went to gym today with my bud, laurel.
We went swimming afterwards since in
Tampines the complex is right beside one an other.

Had fun! I never get bored of swimming, not that i'm very good at it.
I think i jog better than i swim, which reminds me i gotta jog tml night.

Anyways,
i'm heading to sch tml afternoon for jamming prac with my school band.
Gig coming up on the 17th of April.

After which i will be down at Jurong West for prayer meeting with Pastor Kong!
Really looking forward to that. =)

Basically to update you guys on what i've been up to lately.

Ok here goes... let's see
I've been really active in my school's (Interest Group)IG aka CCA.
It's REPLUG
Been attending workshops and practice sessions.
I'm the Productions Manager for my IG this year
so i'm pretty much in charge of the events and how things are ran for this year.

Sooo it's gonna be really really busy for me
cause we have a couple of big events coming up.
So i gotta pray for more capacity.

I'm also having a wedding concert this May.
Things are well on the way.
We are still in the midst of practicing but almost done.
Going down to the restaurant to check out the stage, lighting and stuff.

It's kind of weird cause my band thought
we were gonna be background music.
Turns out we have a 30mins slot performance
so ppl will be looking at us and not eating...
nvr attended or seen a wedding dinner like that before...
...interesting... =)

Of course, i will be payed for it haha.
This isn't apart of my IG even though we are made up of my IG people.
The wedding couple works in RP's Arts Productions Company
so have invited us to play for them.
(Yes we have our own Arts Productions Company in RP)

I'm currently in 4 bands.
Yes that's right... i really believe that in order to be a good musician
and entertainer/performer.
I need to put myself out there and be ready to
expose myself to different music and musicians.
My own band of course(very proud!) TreeStory!!
It's my priority.
Fantastic group of people, we're not looking at playing perfect music
but just worship God with what we have.
I'm a vocalist there btw... ^^

I also have Laurel's band(Certainly Not!) and Iqmal's band(no name yet).
These 3 bands play fairly different music.
The most "off" one would have to be Iqmal's band because we would be doing
Symphonic Power Metal.
As you can tell by the name, it's not very main stream and that's the idea.
Can't say much cause we haven't really started.
I'm a vocalist there and quite excited
to expand my vocals beyond pop music.

I'm also a drummer for Laurel's band(Certainly Not!)
Yes i've been wanting to drum ever since i started playing guitar!!
This is a pretty good group because we are quite musically tuned
and so sound wise we would be quite tight.
Also haven't started jamming.
But it should be good.
My eyes are on Gerald my friend and our guitarist.
He is a MEAN GUITAR SCRATCHING MACHINE. HAHA

And as for the last band, in my IG.
I constantly put into different groups to perform so as to enlarge my capacity
and flexiblity as a musician as well as a performer.
So the whole IG is counted as my band haha.

And also for those who don't know(anyone who isn't in my cg).
I recently went down to a production studio
for an interview/audition with a local movie producer.
My friend had introduced me to this film producer
whom was in the midst of preparing the soundtrack of a movie coming up
soon and i was auditioned for singing their soundtrack.

This is the same producer for the Hollywood film "Slum Dog Millionaire"
Their current project will also be hit in Hollywood.
So i was really excited to be able to audition for it.
Results aren't out yet so i'll be waiting for good news i hope.
Pray for me.

Little Devils!!

Went to work today.
Teaching a sec1 NA class.
Came across these little boys who were more like little devils

They were noisy and playful in abundance.
Almost wanted to throw them off the building, lol.
I had to keep walking over to scold them.
They still wouldn't listen.
They'll pretend they don't know u are scolding them and just carry on joking with you.
ARGH!!! wat the =_=

I mean my trainer had to scold the class every 5 mins.
Took her 10 minutes just to do one simple exercise with them

LOL, good thing was that we still finished on time.

Working!!!

Woot~!
Finally got time and interest to blog a new post.

CNY was aiight for me.
Seeing as i dun visit much and got no one to visit
spent a lot of time at home.
And also Wui An's house.

I learned Mah Jong at An's house.
Her mom taught me^^

We didn't play money
cause i don't gamble.

I started my first day at work today.
Working with ACTIVE IN INTELLIGENCE
I'm suppose to help out in giving workshops
at primary, secondary and even millenia Institutes
teaching how to study better the smart way.

It really good i tell you.
Not my first time working there too.
Worked with this company before my poly semesters started.

SO i went to Greendale Secondary today, my class was generally well-behaved.
Exception to the few talkative ones, it was aiight.

I like this kind of none desk bound jobs.
Need to get use to the crowd but it's easy.
Haha... Heading back to GDSS tml again.

Hopefully i can earn enough money to get myself
new clothes and music equipments ^^

I caught this some time ago but didn't have the opportunity to blog this down

I feel that sometimes, we talk about ppl rising up,
we expect them to live up to a certain expectation or level
then the current will leave

I think that it should be the other way around
we bring the would-be successor to a place
where he/she is near to the level of expectation hasn't hit it

THAT's the precise moment where he/she is ready to rise up.
Because only when the current leaves, the successor will rise to the occassion

Isn't it true??

Imagine a chair
Will you not get up first then offer the chair?

How is it possible to ask your successor to sit in the chair
which you are currently sitting on?
There's no space.

You have to leave it,
then can there be space for your successor to sit in it.

Other wise he/she would be sitting on you in stead of the chair =s

Great Performance!

Oh man!!
Today was amazing...
the the chairman (Mr Lee Hsien yang) and
the board of directors were really warm.
We had resounding applause!

The smile from their faces really made the 3 days of late nights worth
every minute and sweat.

I gotta hand it to the dancers especially.
Think they had even longer practice
So Big Up to them!!
*clap clap!

And overall the performance was fantastic.
Not just for my act or my friend's
but on the whole everything looked smooth
Transitions were just right.
Sound and lights were fantastic.

BIG UP for the light, sound, stage and crew!!

Today was a close performance for the directors of the school

I was told today that there's gonna be another run of this concert
but this time it's gonna be for the students.

So it means, i'm gonna be performing for the students
coming for open house.
=s
How freaky is that.

Really thank God for giving opportunities upon opportunities

One concert after another... God is a God of abundance!
HAHA

I'm getting a little bored of singing the same song over and over again though.
ROFL!

The arts director who was in-charge of this concert
said that he will be looking for opportunities to perform outside Singapore

HOW COOL IS THAT!!

Anyways, hopefully it will come to pass
Till then, i'll be contented to sing my songs and play my guitar

Spent time with people i care about
Found new people in my life

Had a couple of frustrating moments thinking of you...

Overall it was good...

New Year Resolutions!

I'm gonna go jogging at least 3 times per week

Start writing songs and playing it in jams

Come and Go

Today was the last day of XY joining us.
Was sad but not thoroughly shocked about her news of transfer
on Friday after the thanks-giving cg

I'm glad that N397 can be a doctor cg.
Looking back at the past year.
3 people have come and gone to another CG
Eunice
Siyun
Xiu Yuan

It's not the point of having them in the cg but letting them grow
and i think God placed them in N397 for a reason before they transfer out.

Some of them realized that they should be in another cg and upon reaching there
they grow even more

Some come into N397 to find peace because of misunderstanding with others.
We just made sure that they still are in contact with God until they reconcile with
the others.

Some came and took in teachings and habits so that they can use these to grow
and expand into another level over at the other cg.

I'm very proud of N397
because in a way we are the bridge between God and the members

God uses us to buffer these people
before they start rising up even more
^^

Here to update again to change the tone of my blog a bit.
And update u guys about my musical life.

After the concert with Taufik that day, received a major offer
from Rozz who's a radio DJ at "Perfect 10 98.7fm"
She invited my ig and myself to perform during one of her shows on air!
very excited about that. HAHA
nvr been on radio before...

Well, just received news today that i'm invited to play for my school's opening ceremony
where all the VPs and headmasters are coming...
That includes Mr Lee Hsien Yang (Younger brother of PM Lee Hsien Loong)
And some other ministers.

Lol, very honored to be able to showcase my talents to the heads of the campus.
And before that events i have some other invitation to perform somewhere else

I'm not sure where but it would mean that i'm gonna be performing 3 days straight.
Phew~ need to pray for more strength.

Thank God for the exposure that i'm receiving.

Tml, will my last day of school!!! Then 3 weeks of holidays here i come!!
I actually wanna get a job so i can't stock up some cash for
my guitar, the Tioman trip, some presents which i owe and etc.
Oh well, going to enjoy my last day of school tml! ^^

class skippers

I wanna rant about something today,
people who know me know that when i rant i will sound very fierce
so pardon my language.

Firstly, i'm against skipping classes, because
sometimes people have things going on and have to skip class to
go to that event since it is important
I'm ok with that, since i have also skipped lessons to perform at a concert.
THAT'S FINE

What i HATE about are people who skips lessons as and when
they don't feel like coming to class.
And they do it so frequently till they dun feel shame.

I mean if you like to skip lessons so much,
DON'T COME TO SCHOOL

Wasted your time, waste your parents' time
waste your classmates' time, and waste your teacher's time

Basically, you are just an irritating organism wasting people's time.
Why bother coming?

Apparently school is not important for you
apparently you think that staying out late at night
and not sleeping can be a pretty darn good excuse to skip lessons
GO AHEAD

And why pretend like you need to find a good reason to go off early?
I mean, i was laughing my "behind" off
even thinking that you actually consider whether to skip lesson or not

Since you have the cheek to say that you have a lot of lousy grades
i think you should just quit school and go work outside

Seriously, there are people who need the seat that you are in now.
Don't be a burden can?

Today i had a meeting with the commitee incharge of the finale bash
(you know, the one which i'm suppose to perform with taufik?)

We just went through the run down of the concert.
So im performing my song just before Taufik.

The marketing director told me that he purposely put me and my fren just
in front of taufik is because he wants taufik to notice us.

He wants to show taufik that there are, according to him, "talents" in RP...
LOL, now u may think it's flattering.
It is actually, but after hearing that i became seriously nervous la!!!

I mean, when i get nervous i forget my lyrics!!!
SO that's bad!!!

The concert will be in the theatre... means it's the 2000+ seater hall....

Self note:
Gotta pray more so that God can strengthen me.
And cannot focus on not making mistakes, if not mistakes will happen.

Woo performing with taufik batisah!

For those of you who haven't know...
I performed with my Interest Group(IG), another term for CCA,
for Reflections 2009, a annual Performing Arts festival in my school.

Also because the Arts Committee in my school really enjoyed my performance
invited me to perform a song during the finale bash.

NOW, they even told me to SING along with Taufik Batisah
at the last item of the finale bash along with 3 other performers

I am SOSOSOSOSO excited to be able to sing along side Singapore's first
Singapore Idol...

I thank God for letting me shine in the market place so much...
I really believe that if it's a vision God has given you
no matter how other people look down on you,
If God says you are the HEAD
THEN you ARE the HEAD...

It was so fruitful.

Her foot might have physically detached from her leg if it was me taking care of her.

Everyone felt drained coming out of OCH because it was plain boring there.

anyways, we only went there because we were waiting for Ezra to come

God's Vision for RP

I've been having visions for RP in the past few weeks.
I've decided to blog about it.

It's was a few weeks ago when i was doing my quiet time.
I was praying for more friends from RP.
It was a few weeks after Cyra got save during the camp.

I just finished playing my guitar the last worship.
God suddenly gave me a vision of friends from RP getting saved.
It was a vision, short and sweet.

Then that was that...
Nothing else.

I was hungry.
I wanted to know more.

For a long time, God didn't say anything else about it and i soon forgot about it.

Recently, God reminded me the vision again and my heart got excited again because now God told me that i would be able to have a connect group made up of Republic Poly.

I got very impacted by this vision, to have a campus revival.

I'm very excited about how God is going to work through me during this time.
I also know i'm gonna need to stretch my capacity and also personally, my temper.

I know that this is going to be a life changing experience.
I'm anticipating a change in myself.

I must start fasting and praying about this.

Hung out with bandmates today.
Went to eat at an Italian Restaurant @ Paragon
Delicious delicious food.
I still thought Ezra's dish was the best, haha...
Then went to a funfair held by SG youth Council for a while...
Then went to E2Max to play darts which was awesome, all thanks to Ezra introducing the game to us....
Then we stayed while Ezra met with Siqi, we watch a movie in the E2Max movie chamber. Lol scary Movie.
Then we went to Far East to window shop.
Then we went to coffee bean to talk and chat until 10.30 pm.

Woah how day out and it was so very fruitful.^^

IM SO HAPPY haha...
I am so glad we fellowship today.
It was so fruitful.
Today really boosted my confidence that TreeStory will be able to do well.
We need more of this guys!!

Been really really busy now a days because of helping my interest group in school to plan for a huge concert coming up this November.

I've been promoted to Head of Events Manager and this causes me to have a lot of things to do.
On top of serving in church and band practice, now i have to handle events in my IG.
I spent 3 nights sleeping not more then 6 hours in total.

Praise God it was still during the holidays^^

But i thank God that my president entrusts me with this post.
So much so that for my first project, he gives me the IG annual concert to do.

I'm suppose to do the production schedule.

It is a document which includes everything inside the production line.
Practice schedule, Bump in schedule, marketing schedule, Practice locations, Program flow, and etc.

I was indeed very challenged but thank God for the capacity to pull through.

Now the planning's more or less completed at this phase.
All i have to do is to practice my songs.
Haha, hope i don't forget my lyrics this time.

Woo hoo~!!
It's the holidays! Finally 1st semester ended for me just yesterday. Gotta say, i'm happy with my class... awesome people. I can't wait to have fun again and go back to making music!

I wanna take this moment to thank a special facilitator to me who has been my aid in walking with God in school and module.

She got me lots of music stuff, knowing that i'm very enthusiastic in my music ministry and i really appreciated it very much. Will show you guys just how much she got me!

She may be quite strict at certain times but overall she's a really nice person and i have no regrets being facilitated by her. ^^

During her last lesson she even bought lots of food for us, she is in deed a blessing and a giver.
We were really filled with the delicious food, it was in abundance!

Someone just passed a comment today that the person didn't like JJ Lin because he looks funny.
People like these are the ones making the music industry so plastic and fake now a days.

Does it mean that a singer don't look as handsome in comparison with others means that he is no good?

Since when being a musician has to matter if you're good looking or not?
If you only listen to someone's music because he or she is good looking apparently you don't know music.

Don't label music like this. It's an insult to musicians.
Imagine saying you like that musician because he or she is good looking....
Even if it's a praise to the musician him/herself, you are indirectly implying that the music he or she is playing doesn't matter.

So the Grammy Awards, and Asian Music Awards should judge musicians in whether their good looking or not rather than their ability to play music?

In society, music industries are going more for looks than talents. It's staining the image of music.

They have lost the main meaning of making music.
If their looks are so important over their talents, then don't listen to their songs, just buy their pictures and stick all over your room walls!

So this message is a shout out to people who likes this musician or that just because of their looks, you either wash out your brains and start appreciating music, or don't listen to any at all.
Cause apparently your IQ capacity cannot comprehend the true meaning of music and all that matters in your life is whether people are good looking or not! =)

Soooo Tiring!

Hey Guys
Finally, i get to blog! Ever since school started, i haven't had time to myself much. Busy in school, Church, cellgroup, and campus ministry, and my beloved band. I have to say though, i'm really enjoying having things to do.

Just finished my 2nd round of auditions in school today for an interest group (IG) called replug. There were a few teams who were really good. We got to do it early in the beginning so we were able to get it over and done with. We played "Way back into love" soundtrack from the movie "Music and Lyrics". I thought we did quite well, we received some really good comments too! =D There was a group who did the same song but went much longer after us. I honestly thought we did better xp I feel bad but facts are hard to hide.

Well ,i'm gonna cut my hair tml and go collect my new EZlink from repair. It has been quite tiring these pass few weeks, i didn't have much time to sit down to do any covers on youtube or write new song. And i still have yet to complete TreesStory's blog!! T.T

Wanna give a shout out to my God whom i think has really played a big part in my success and strength to stay alive for the past few weeks. Truely without Him, i can't do anything properly. My friend made a comment that if i weren't in church, i'd be a lot less busy now. I agree with him, at the same time i'm happy. It means i'm doing things for God!!^^

Well, i've gotta go rest now...

Does being Anti-Emo prevent you from being "Emo"?

Hey Guys
I've been talking none stop about being Anti-Emo for the past, i don't know, 3 months? Maybe more?

I've been talking about how being "Emo" is no good and everyone should not stop doing that. But seriously, human beings get emotional sometimes. It's beyond our control. I'm a human, would it be weird if i get "emo"? Can i still smile when i feel sad or depressed? is being anti-emo mean that i can never get emotional? I find it hard to take in.

I haven't been feeling well for the last one week. It's taking a toll on me. I don't care who's reading this or what people think of me when their reading this.

I'm getting some serious attacks from the devil and it's really pushed me to the limit of considering to back-sliding again. I'm very tempted at times, due to certain events happening and stuff. I'm currently still feeling quite dry but i have to say that, the fact that i can write this out shows that i'm not afraid to open up and show my emotions.

I know it's probably very unbelievable to say that everytime i make fun of someone or say some irritating and irrelevent stuff, I'm building on my own defensive wall against the outside world.

I really don't know how i managed to hang on to God for such a long time. At times i get so psyked to do God's will but after a while i get dry again. It's like a roller coaster ride that never ends.

And i think about the people whom i'm suppose to lead and hang out with. I think that how the heck am i suppose to show an example and change peoples' life when i can't even manage my own?

Edmond is one of my best buds and he's also helping me in my connect group. I feel that i'm dragging him along at times. And i don't know how to relate to him on the things that we as a connect group should do because i know i haven't been doing a good job myself.

I'm not sure if Edmond or Liwei or any other members are gonna read this but it doesn't matter. I think that writing this out was really helpful. It's not about the process of being emo, it's about the process of getting out of the "emo"-period. Everyone has their own way of cheering themselves up and i do it my way.

I might become crude again after a while and emo again after another while. I'm not sure, but I'm not gonna be afraid of it or anything. If anyone's going down, it's the devil. He's gotta be so mad now. SEE! I'm feeling better already.

Hey Guys!
I just wanted to make things clear that my post on EMO behavior previously was meant to tackle the behavior and not the person directly. I have lots of un-churched friends who are EMO all the time, it doesn't mean that i hate them. I still love because they are my friends. However, i will not apologize for ranting on the behavior/practice of "EMO-ism". I do believe that life has hope as long as you want there to be. Having myself once being outrageously EMO long ago, i know how it feels to pretend like everything else doesn't any more. If you reading this consider or think that you are EMO person yourself. Find a friend you enjoy being with and talk to them and ask for advice, or if you think you have no friends to talk to then leave me your email address in my tagbox I'll be your first official friend. Doesn't matter if you don't know me or if you're not local. God created me and you just the same as Him. God loves you and so do I.

Remember, staying EMO never helps. You are only as miserable as you want yourself to be.

What Playing For CellGroup Is About.

Hey Guys
Today i'm about what playing guitar for cellgroup is about. To me, i think playing music for cg is about building the atmosphere for the people. My guitar teacher use to tell me, we're like the spiritual architect, we form the shape and volume of
God's presence.

Whenever i play in cellgroup, i do my best to play with my feelings a hundred percent in the song. I do still find difficulty in playing with feel and taking commands at the same time though. I think that it's not something one can learn or memorize. So when my friends ask me to them the way to play PnW (Praise and Worship), I would just teach them how to play a guitar normally or just teach one or two songs.

Rule #1 in playing PnW, is that you can only master the playing styles on your own. No one can coach you to play PnW. If they did they would just be teaching you how to play it. You'd just be playing musical notes and not the spirit.

I learned that the times when i can play really well is when i'm doing my quiet time (Provided i have practiced to play the song before hand). I then take what i encounter during my quiet time and bring it into the cg setting at the same making sure it tallies with my leader's commands.

It's never easy playing in a cellgroup, no matter how long you've been doing it. I think it speaks for a lot of the guitarists here.

So the only way to improve is to make sure you know how to play that song, when you able to play it worship God with it. Put emotion while playing the number during cellgroup. When you feel that you need a little breakthrough when you're playing, fix you eyes on God and sing along with the song treat it like your quiet time except you have 20 other people singing along with you.

I hope whoever reads this can be of help especially if you're a guitarist, Or if you're a cellgroup leader and you think what i'm saying might not sound that dumb, recommend it to your guitarist=).

New Movie upcoming in SG!! STEP UP 2: The Streets

Hey Guys!
Yes just like what the title says, this entry is going to be about the new dancing movie that released last Thursday on Valentine's day in the U.S. I had the privilege to watch it before Singapore actually showed it ^_^ not telling you where or how. Anyways this is a break down of the movie so Enjoy!

The movie stars Briana Evigan as "Andie", a street dancer who joins a blacklisted street dancing crew and get busted by her mom's best friend(Her guardian) who's currently taking care of her. She is being forced between 2 choices by her guardian. Either move to Texas or stay and go to dance school, the last place she wants to go.

Now, for having attend school and extra lessons afterwards she gets her crew leader mad and gets herself kicked out of the crew. She's left stranded now. Luckily "Chase Collins", played by Robert Hoffman comes up with a plan to form a crew and persuades Andie of joining in. Things went on from there showing how they picked each crew mate and the thick and thin they went through...

Now this has movie has everything you want in a dance movie. Beautiful dance moves, great cast, awesome location settings and lightings, not forgetting a meaningful and outstanding plot. The climax above all climax would definitely be and ending part when they danced in the rain. Oops!!! Can't give out to many parts, it'll spoil the show for you.^^

Anyhoo, it's a must watch... i give it an 8/10

What's up with EMO nicks? Anti-EMO club!

Hey Guys!
Today i'm here to rant about people who put EMO words on their nicks. Firstly, what's wrong with these people? Does putting EMO nicks make you feel better? You guys are so uptight! I mean whose gonna pity you if you say "oh life is a tragedy for me". Dude, go get a life, a real life. No offense to people who actually are going through tough times.

I just wanna make things clear here, if you really are going through bad times like some one you know and really loved had passed away, or your best friend just migrated to some far away galaxy. Even if you are about to get transported to some jungle away from your family, that's fine.

Those are fine. But what are you getting so worked about the break up between you and the person you met 1 month ago? What is he bill clinton? Or is she Hillary Swank? Goodness me!! Correct me if i'm wrong, are you gonna kill yourself just because you had one unlucky day. Are you gonna hate the whole world if just for a day things didn't go your way? Get a grip!!!

BTW, EMO nicks don't llok cool a MSN. To others, it's just another nick. SO DON"T BE A POSER!!! Lolx, everytime i come across an EMO nick. I stare a t for 5 seconds and laugh butt off.

For example:
*Walks to computer and opens MSN*
*Scrolls through and spot an EMO nick*
-"Tell me what is wrong? ILU V*** I feel like the whole is crumbling on me."
*Stares at it for 5 seconds*
*Then*
*LAUGHS MY ASS OFF!!!*

I mean pal, even if your girlfriend or boyfriend don't a phone to contact doesn't mean you go all suicidal on MSN!! GET A GRIP, better yet GET A LIFE!!!

Some years ago, I came across someone whom i met online(not revealing the name). He talked to me about how his girlfriend had stopped talking to her.

And i being the gracious caring soul that i am decided to comfort him by offering a listening ear. he told me the incident and asked me for some advice. So i did, but he went all negative on me saying he is useless and can't do anything right. Regardless of whatever i've said he didn't take it in no matter what...

The next day when i signed in on MSN again his nickname read:
"Life is a misery, why can't anybody help me. I just needed someone to talk to"

I looked at it and this appeared on my face---> -_-|||

WHAT!!! Do i look like a hamster to you??? Am i not a human? Or was it not you on the other side of the computer?
Dude, talk about insecurity~
People with emotional issues should just shut up about how screwed up their life is and just do something about it. The MSN nickname space is not a wishing well...

As some of you people might already know, my msn nick have been having this tag" Member of the anti-EMO club" I just thought it would be quite cool to have this to let ppl kno that EMO does = cool. Join me if you agree... but let's not criticise them in their face yea. If we do they're gonna go all EMO and suicidal on us again...lol

Finally another entry~

Hey Guys!
Finally, I'm back to blog! Recently i have been doing a lot of "youtubing". I posted quite a number of videos on my youtube account. Do go visit if you haven't already did=) Valentine's Day just passed and it was a normal day for me because i didn't really celebrate it with anyone. I did, however fold paper seagulls for my cellgroup sisters and thanks to Kelvin who taught me how to make em. It took a whole night to make it so i didn't get a wink a sleep but at least it was for a good cause so i'm not complaining. I finally got a job! Thanks to Edmond i'm able to get paid every month and help out in my family's expenses and of course to tithe and give to God as offering.

I'm actually having 2 jobs. One of it is working as a waiter in a Japanese Restaurant (Waraku De Pasta). The other is a education job i suppose, it's called "Active Intelligence"(Set up by my church people). I'm suppose to go to different schools with trainers to help them while they teach the students on the different learning styles that suits each student. Other than visiting schools, i'm also doing administrative work for them. It's a much better paying job than being a waiter but i can't really tolerate students, and i'm a total "noob" at desk work.

WNU: Ashley Tisdale Rocks!!

Hey Guys!
Welcome to my first ever "weekly News and Updates"(WNU) you'll find some hot gossips or interesting news i manage to dig up. This week i'm telling you guys about Ashley Tisdale and famous young star from the hit Disney musicals "high School Musical", "High School Musical 2" , and Disney Channels "Suite Life Of Zack And Cody". She is currently 22 years old going on 23, and popularity doesn't seem to stop growing for this girl. However, in the midst of being so overwhelmingly famous, this girl is least bit like her character "Sharpay Evans" in "High School Musical". This girl doesn't get her head filled with air but still stays just a girl in her pretty dress drinking coffee bean. :)
Let me tell you why i love Ashley so much. She's obviously very pretty, but is also very humble and down to earth despite all the fame and popularity "High School Musical" has gained for her. I watched her videos she took herself on her "Youtube" channel and found that she likes to do all the very normal things. I know... everybody knows that celebraties are normal human beings like us, but seeing it and knowing it is two different things. That's what i like about her:) Beside the fact that she can sing very well. Check her out at her "Youtube" channel, i have her link below at the "Music Spots" section below. Rest assured it really is her and not some drunk, over-rated, maniac fan.
